About Me

I am a certified Physician Wellness Coach in Ottawa, Canada.

I’m a compassionate trained primary care physician turned physician wellness coach with almost a decade of clinical experience managing and counseling patients toward better health through positive lifestyle changes.

Skilled at employing active listening, motivational interviewing, neurolinguistic programming techniques, goal setting and accountability to empower individuals to OWN and achieve their personal health and wellness goals.

My work has been featured with popular publications such as Harvard Blog, British Medical Journal, LiveScience, Healthline Media, SERMO, etc.

I combine my clinical knowledge, experience and coaching skills to support lifestyle change management of physical and mental health conditions. I am a native English speaker and committed to continuous learning and growth.

MY BACK STORY

I practiced as a primary care physician for almost a decade. I also experienced chronic work stress at the hospital because I had to attend to a ton of patients at the primary care clinic.

I also was never able to satisfy some difficult patients, and also faced constant pressure from the hospital administrators. I developed terrible unhealthy lifestyles, like eating unhealthy and sometimes in rushing my food to quickly attend to patients who were anxiously waiting.

I also engaged in comfort eating to cope with work stress and ate late at night, which affected my sleep quality and quantity over time. Everything changed the day I saw my health screening result.

I found out that my blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels were elevated significantly. I knew if I didn’t find a remedy fast, I would become fully hypertensive. 

After many trials and errors and continuous learning, I discovered the science and lifestyle change techniques that helped me reverse my high blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels naturally.

This experience taught me the importance of seeking help early and never waiting to be symptomatic. My transformative wellness journey motivated me to become a certified physician wellness coach to help and support physicians who struggle with stress, burnout and mental health concerns.

Having been trained and certified by the American Council on Exercise and the international coaching Federation, which is the regulatory board for coaching and working one on one with clients, I have created the four hour framework for stressed and burned out doctors.

My unique physician coaching approach

I combine biopsychosocial and root cause approaches to empower my clients to self discover the solution to the root cause of stress, burnout and mental health struggles.

Mindfulness techniques alone may not suffice to fully resolve and provide relief from stress and burnout, because they deal with the symptoms only and do not resolve the root cause.

My unique coaching technique combines proven neuroscience based tools, cognitive behavioral methods, functional blood testing and neuro linguistic programming techniques that address your whole being

Step 1

30 minutes discovery call

We will hop on a short video call to meet each other and to ascertain a fit between my coaching program and your personal needs.

Step 2

Precoaching Call

This requires explaining the 10-week program, the coach and client expectations, and other details.

Step 3

Commence the coaching program

Once you enrol, we will create a personalized roadmap to help you achieve your goals during the 10 weeks physician coaching program.
